Quality Dog and Cat Grooming at 1040 Central St. East Bridgewater, MA 02333

The Secret Garden's staff always exercises good judgement and care when handling your pet. We have established, over the years, an exemplary safety record. However, sometimes, a dog or cat can respond erratically to the sights/sounds/smells/activities of the grooming environment. This reaction could cause the pet to aggravate an existing illness or injury, or cause a new one. We cannot be responsible for the actions (and results of those actions) of a pet we are grooming. If you suspect that your pet has an illness or injury, or that the pet may respond abruptly, please advise us so we can do our best to take extra precautions!

We do not guarantee a fixed price for grooming services forever. We control our costs and maintain our quality, providing the best value to you and best care for your pet. We offer the region's highest pet quality grooming services.

For new puppy owners, please call and inquire about our Puppy introduction and socialization plan -- designed to introduce your new puppy to the sights, sounds and SMELLS of our grooming salon at an early age. This will help insure a lifetime of stressless grooming, which is so important to your pet's coat, health and behavior.

Pricing

Our pricing philosophy is: We do not compete on price.

We do compete on QUALITY, SERVICE, and CARE.

If your're looking for the best value grooming for your pet, where trained staff use quality products and engineered equipment to provide the safest, cleanest and best grooming experience for your pet, then you have found it!

We charge a fair price for the service provided. This price can vary breed to breed, pet to pet and visit to visit.

If your pet requires dematting, is old and requires two groomers, is cantankerous and requires extra care, then we will provide the needed services at a fair price. We do not quote prices for new customers because we do not know how the pet will behave, what the coat condition is or what you, our customer wants for the grooming result to be.

The number of repeat customers we have is testimony to the value perceived for our services. So, call to make an appointment, or just drop in to visit. You won't be disappointed.

Some guideline examples:
  • Golden Retriever -- nails, ears, deep cleansing bath, hand dried and "Golden" trim, bandana, cologne, ~$55.
  • Bichon Frisé -- nails, ears, deep cleansing bath, hand dried, "Bichon" trim, bandana, cologne, ~$45.
  • Cat, long haired -- nails, ears, bath, hand dried, hair cut, (well behaved, average size), ~$55.

We do REQUIRE that all cats have a current rabies certificate prior to grooming. This is for the safety of our staff, and it is good practice for the safety of you, your family and your pet as well.

    How often should I groom?

It depends on the pet. Certainly when they smell. The more often you groom, the faster the process. If doggie's coat becomes tangled, it may require extensive dematting (outch!) or may have to be shaven off (brrrr). When you hear doggie's nails on the floor, time for at least a nail trim ($10 / no appointment necessary.) Some dogs get groomed every 4 weeks. Some once a year. Usually, the shorter the coat, the longer between groomings. If you like your Bichon's coat to be long, clean and fluffy, you'll need to visit us often!
We also offer a Self Wash possibility. You save money. It can be a family event. We have many customers who do it... once. To get it right is a lot of work.
Ask and we can suggest a frequency for your four legged friend.
